WOMEN'S SPRING BIBLE STUDY: THE BOOK OF JOB

Why does God permit suffering? It’s a question all of us have asked, and the book of Job points us to the answer. Dr. Derek Thomas walks us through the book of Job and considers what the Bible says about our darkest moments. He addresses the difficult question of the relationship between God’s sovereignty and the existence of evil, sin and suffering. In the end, it is in our trials that we learn to trust God and say with Job, “Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Join us weekly on saturday mornings, March 18 - June 4, in the adult Sunday school room from 9:30-10:30am. All ladies are welcome and there is no book purchase or registration required. For more information, please contact: Mary Schmuland at 763.443.7293.

Dr. Thomas, a native of Wales, is senior minister at 1st Presbyterian Church, Columbia, S.C., a Ligonier teaching fellow, Robert Strong Professor of Systematic and Pastoral Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary and director of the Doctor of Ministry program at Ligonier Academy of Biblical and Theological Studies, Sanford, FL.
